POET facilitates After School Activities every Fall and Spring. Some activities change and some don’t. Check each Fall and Spring to see what is offered!

Find out about each of this spring’s activities and sign up below. Some activities have grade restrictions and size limits. Please read the information on this website AND the sign up sheets. If a child signs up for a program they are unable to participate in, they will be removed.

*After School Activities are a privilege and if a student is not following directions, they will be asked to not attend. No refunds will be given. *

Martial arts

We excited to have Martial Arts available this Spring!

Our 2-Week After School Program is designed to give kids a fun, structured, and confidence-building experience! Each day includes martial arts training, exciting games, physical fitness activities, and life-skill lessons that help students grow both on and off the mat.

Students build focus, discipline, respect, and perseverance while staying active and engaged in a safe, positive environment led by professional instructors. Whether your child is brand new or already training, this program helps them build momentum, make new friends, and develop skills that carry into school, sports, and everyday life.

We are excited to share that POET will be sharing a Creative Arts Class for Spring 2026!

A chance to for your kids to create and enjoy the chance to take home art supplies each week too! With different art projects and supplies each week your kids will love being creative and exploring art in fun and creative ways. Mondays from 3-4pm in Mrs. Dearden’s 4th grade classroom. 

March 23, April 6, and April 13 for the Monday Group (Grades 1-3) with only 15 spots available.

We’re excited to share that POET & our fantastic STEM Teacher Mrs. Cadenas  will be teaching a 3D Printing Class Spring 2026! This class is only available for 4th-9th grades. 4th graders MUST be in the beginner class.

Have you ever wondered how things are made? In this fun and interactive course, students will explore the exciting world of 3D printing, a technology that transforms digital designs into real objects! No experience is needed, just curiosity and creativity!

💪 What the students Learn:

Students will learn step by step how a 3D printer works, how to create their own digital designs, and how to bring them to life with real printed models. Through hands-on activities, they’ll develop problem-solving skills, experiment with design and discover how this technology is shaping the future.

3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/9 & 4/16 from 3-4pm

4th grade will meet at the Elementary in Señor Joan’s room. All other grades will meet at the Jr. High with room assignments coming.

If your student has completed 3D printing LAST SPRING at NDPA then they should register for the Intermediate class. Otherwise please enroll in the beginner class.

We’re excited to share that POET will be hosting STEM this Spring! For Kindergarten – 3rd grades! Classes will be held Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:00 PM in the Elementary.

Join us for Spring 2026 STEM! Full of fun projects and experiments. 

  • Foster student interest in STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
  • Develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote collaborative work and technological exploration
